Patternwell helps you revise coding-interview problems. This page says exactly what it collects and why. The short version: only what's needed to schedule your reviews, never your code, and nothing is sold.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email and a password, stored only as a salted hash.
- Your reviews: which problems and patterns you've practised, your ratings, and the review history used to schedule them.
- From the browser extension, on LeetCode problem pages you open: the problem's address, when you submit, the verdict, how many hints you opened, whether you opened the editorial or solutions, how long you were active on the page, and whether you opened the problem from a topic list (such as a LeetCode tag page or a sheet site), not which site.
- When you start an import: the list of problems you've solved on LeetCode and when, read from your own LeetCode session.
- Your time zone, so your review day rolls over at your own local hour.
- Your LeetCode username, as seen in the LeetCode session your browser is signed in to, so each LeetCode account belongs to one Patternwell account. If you prove it's yours, we read the public "About me" text of that LeetCode profile once, to find the code you added.
- A keyed hash of your network address at sign-up, kept for 24 hours to spot mass account creation. The address itself isn't stored.
- Notes you choose to write.
- A security log of sign-ins, password changes, connected browsers, exports and deletions (the event, time and an account id, never passwords or notes), kept to protect your account.
What we never collect
- The code you write, or any text from LeetCode's pages.
- Anything from other websites or tabs. The extension runs only on leetcode.com (problem pages, plus your problem list when you start an import yourself) and on the Patternwell site, so the site can connect to it.
- Payment card or UPI details. When payments open, they are handled entirely by the payment provider.
How it's used
Only to run Patternwell for you: scheduling, stats and your account. There are no ads and no third-party trackers. Your data is not sold or shared, except with the hosting provider that runs the servers and, if you buy Pro, the payment provider (Razorpay). The public pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address like any website you load fonts from; the app itself doesn't.
Your controls
From Settings you can export your account, notes and full review history as JSON, disconnect any browser, sign out everywhere else, or delete your account, which removes your deck, history, notes and connected browsers. Records of payments are kept, without the link to your account, because tax and refund rules require them. Nightly backups roll off after 14 days.
Security
Connections are encrypted, passwords and access tokens are stored as hashes, and the extension's access can be revoked at any time.
